3rd Grade brought science and social studies together today with our lesson about the saguaro cactus. These cacti can only be found naturally in our part of the whole world! They are iconic to Arizona. They can grow more than 3 stories tall and live for more than 2 centuries. They also make a good home for desert animals.

The 2nd grade has been reading and learning about the weather. This afternoon we took on the challenge to build snowmen out of scrap paper, since the weather did not cooperate with us and provide snow.

Mr. Lemley's 3rd grade class has moved from learning about light energy to what it can do for the planet Earth. Plants and photosynthesis is where we are journeying now. The students made a flower for their parents for tonight's PTAT, we hope to see you there!
